Why Family Volunteering?
One of the best ways to instill kindness in KIDS is to give them the opportunity to give back in a fun + age-appropriate manner. Together with their FAMILY, we enable young children, ages 5 and up, to engage with give-back projects that directly benefit those struggling within our community.
Getting out + giving back through meaningful + intentional volunteer projects is an easy way to craft next generation leaders. By volunteering at a young age, we are creating a generation of KIDS who will see a need, work to solve it + put more good into the world.
Because you're never too young to volunteer ♥
A Mom on a Mission
In the midst of the busyness of sports, extra-curriculars + every day life, Victoria Hannley began to recognize that something was missing. Even though they would talk as a family about social issues + ways to help people in need, Victoria realized that her kids needed to get out + experience first-hand the needs in the community.
As she began to seek out opportunities to give back with her kids, she soon found that kid-friendly volunteer projects were hard to come by. So she started creating her own opportunities with local non-profits that were not only interesting but would help her kids make the connection between the give-back project + who they were serving.
Amazed at how much her three kids enjoyed the various volunteer projects, Victoria wanted to share these experiences with other kids + families. And so the idea for Tucson Family Volunteers was born with the same goal for all kids as for her own - that KIDS make awesome VOLUNTEERS!
Donate + Support Kid Volunteering
We rely on the financial support of the community to be able to create family volunteering projects that are fun + meaningful for kids. Your donation will help us continue to offer Tucson-area families with in-person + at-home volunteer projects + craft a generation of kind, caring kids. ♥

FAMILY VOLUNTEERING IN THE NEWS
Victoria Hannley, Founder of Tucson Family Volunteers (formerly Crafting Kind Kids)
With time, I began to see that volunteering alongside my kids was having an impact. We were having more conversations about causes and community needs with regularity. And by exposing my kids to different environments and traveling to parts of town that weren't part of our regular drive, it was expanding their perspective.
